WWCC members are involved in the preservation of the USS San Francisco Memorial, and the creation of a USS Iowa Museum to preserve this magnificent battleship. Please help us support these efforts!
WWCC combat and gunnery & maneuvering events are normally scheduled for the second Sunday of every month, usually from March to November. If an event is canceled for any reason, it will automatically be held the following Sunday unless announced otherwise.
Sorties will begin promptly at noon. Late arrivals will join the 1:30 pm or later sortie.
Events are held at Penitencia Creek Percolation Ponds in San Jose. Directions are as follows:
From either Hwy 680 North or South, take the Berryessa Road exit and head East. Follow the Berryessa Road eastbound and make a right turn on Piedmont. Continue until Noble Avenue and turn left at the convenience store on the corner. The pond will be on the right hand side -- park along the fence, and please respect the new "No Parking Signs" put in by the water company.
For Guests And Visitors: Safety Goggles are absolutely required. Also, we recommend that you wear long pants and long sleeves to protect against stray bb shots. Attend at your own risk!
